Ready To Ship - These bottoms are "Extra" meaning it is left over and does not have a top.  But that is no problem! Buy these bottoms as an "extra" at a discounted price, then purchase a top to match in our Made To Order section (may take up to 10 weeks).
 
There are two types of costumes I offer.  In stock ready to ship items and made to order.  This listing is a “Ready To Ship” and will not ship out right away. The top will arrive in 6 to 8 weeks.
 
 
COSTUME INFORMATION:
Lined with cotton blend rather than synthetic material.  The straps are made for a range of builds, but some find minor alterations necessary.  Any local tailor can easily take in/out and make alterations.  My tailor in the mall charges a few dollars a strap and they have it back to me within a couple days.  However, some find the top fits well and no alterations are needed. 
 
I started out by making my own designs but soon realized I cannot keep up with demand, I can’t possibly sew 50 to 100 costumes a week.  But the good news is that I have partnered with a production team that 1) helps me keep up with demand and 2) keeps the cost on the budget friendly side.
 
Types of Costumes:
*Budget Friendly Catalog Costumes: These are standard costumes made by my production partner for me and a variety of other retailers.  Many of these catalog designs I offer are ones that I designed and created myself, the production partner just brings them to life. 
 
*Custom Design Costumes: These costumes are designed by me in collaboration with my production partner.  The quality of these items is typically no different than the budget friendly costumes, however what is different is the design and the design process.
 
*Customizing an existing costume: I also offer the ability to customize an existing costume for a small fee.  For instance, you found a costume you like, but it only has one sleeve.  I can add one for you.  Or perhaps you fell in love with a costume but wish the skirt was different, no problem.  Or maybe you want a custom color combination such as royal blue mesh with navy spandex.  I have you covered.
 
*I do not offer fully costume costumes at this time, but again, if it is a matter of changing an existing offering, that I can do. 
 
Many of the costumes I offer are "bases" and are meant to be embellished or stoned.  For instance, this costume may not offer much support for mature dancers, but customers can add inserts to the top and appliques which help in this area too.  
 
SIZING: 
These are not street sizes - please double check the size chart.  Just because your dancer is an AXS in street clothes does not mean they will be an AXS in this costume.  Proper and accurate measurements are essential. 
 
The following measurements are necessary for your order: 
-    Chest/Bust 
-    Waist 
-    Hips (low)  – not the hip bones, the widest part of the bottom
-    Girth

If a dancer is on the higher end of the range, it will be tight since that is the maximum a person can be and still fit into the costume.  Also make sure you are measuring low hips and not high hips which is a common mistake.  
 
Example: If your dancer is measuring hips at 32 inches and the range is 30-32 inches, the costume will be tight since 32 inches is the farthest the material can stretch.  Essentially, the costume is made for 30 or 31 inches but can stretch to 32 if needed.  
 
Waist and hip ratio also play a big role.  For instance, if your dancer is measuring 28 inches for the waist (TL range) but only 35 inches for the hips (TM range) the Teen Large would be the appropriate size as the Teen Medium will be too tight around the waist, most likely making the hips too tight as well.  
 
Different sizing from top and bottom is available - you will need to purchase the top separately from the bottoms (do not by this set). 
 
Please note that we do our best to ensure an accurate fit, but body types play a huge role in ensuring proper fit.  Some alterations may be needed since this is not made to the dancer's exact measurements. The Dance Base Store is not responsible for alterations should they be needed.  Just like clothing purchased in a store, not all styles may fit well just because it is the right size.  Keep in mind, these are budget-friendly costumes, and even with potential alterations, the total cost is typically much lower than that of a custom-made costume.

Since body types and shapes vary, it is likely that you may have to have alterations to any costumes that are “strappy”.  As noted above, alterations for strap adjustments are easy and affordable and will give the costume a “custom fitted” look.  
 
REFUNDS/CANCELLATIONS: 
Customers are responsible for ordering the correct size and color.  The Dance Base Store is not responsible for incorrect orders made by the customer, whether that is size or color.  Customers have 24 hours to correct or cancel an order.  Otherwise, the costume will be sent to production with no refunds/cancellations. If you need to cancel/change an order within the 24 hour period, just send me a message. 
 
There are no refunds or cancellations to Made To Order costumes after the 24 hour period. Therefore, it is best to make sure your measurements and sizing are accurate, and that you ordered the correct color, etc.  All costumes are inspected prior to shipment, but in the rare case a defect is overlooked, an exchange/refund is acceptable.  
 
SHIPPING:
All orders are shipped through Etsy’s system, and you will be able to track your status through your account on Etsy.  Etsy will also send you your tracking number via email when shipped.
 
Owner is not responsible for shipping delays from the shop to the customer's home.  Once it is dropped off at the post office, it is out of the seller's hands on how quickly it arrives.
